This week, I started by attending Donlin lab meeting, where lab members presented on switching imaging techniques to improve image quality and updates on a PDMS mold for an assay to study rheumatoid arthritis cell invasion in synovial joints. I also attended the immersion weekly meeting, where Dr. Spector talked about his work as a plastic surgeon. Additionally, I went to the HSS research in progress talk, which was given by a graduate student at HSS who talked about innate vs adaptive immunity in rheumatoid arthritis as well as a mouse model for studying RA inflammation. For my own project, I worked on analyzing bulk RNA-sequencing data on STAT knock-out mutants with data that has been TPM normalized. I did not shadow in the clinic as Dr. Fernandez is on vacation for the week.
